To live an exceptional day
and have fun in complete safety

Santa Claus is 467 years old. Remember, he is the real one! And since we love him so much, we care about him tremendously. In this time of pandemic, the Elf in Chief has issued certain guidelines to ensure that we protect his health, the health of his Elves, and the health of all those who, like you, will be visiting him this summer.

Nothing is more important to the Elf in Chief that you come back delighted from your visit, and of course he thinks it’s just as important that you don’t catch COVID-19!

One good thing about this year’s public health limitation on the number of visitors that can visit the Village site at the same time is that we will be able to take care of each and every one of you even more personally, with the intention of making sure that you and your children have a great and memorable day out!

Before leaving home

Due to the limited number of visitors that will be allowed at the same time on the Village site, you will need to register in advance on the site (go to the page Buy). Once this is done, you can leave and arrive at your convenience (you can stay on the Village site from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm).

Before you leave, read and, if necessary, print the “Checklist” document (“Aide-mémoire” only available in French for the moment). It contains the most up-to-date information to help you prepare for your day at the Village. As the situation and public health guidelines are constantly evolving, some instructions may change at the last minute and be communicated to you upon arrival. Should this happen, we apologize in advance.

When you are leaving, make sure that you or those around you do not have symptoms of COVID-19 (source). We will not be able to accept people at the Village who show flu-like symptoms or those that are similar to COVID-19 (fever, cough, difficulty breathing, etc.) or who have travelled outside of Canada in the past 14 days. If this is your case, please do not come to the Village site.

For those who do not wish to prepare a lunch, it will be our pleasure to serve you food at our snack-bar. Picnic tables are set up and separated by the appropriate spacing. To make your visit more enjoyable, we recommend that you bring a tablecloth. Unfortunately, public health does not allow the use of drinking troughs and you will have to either bring your own drinking water or obtain bottled water which is sold on site.

An outing to the Village is similar to both a trip to the beach and a picnic in the mountains. Whether you are young of old, please bring sunscreen, your swimsuit, comfortable shoes and a homemade face cover or handcrafted mask (mandatory in all indoor places).

On arriving at the village

« All the Elves have only one goal: to make you have a wonderful day, and to do everything possible to make sure you have as much fun as possible… in complete safety! »

The Elf in Chief

Consequently, nothing is more important to the Elf in Chief than that you return enchanted from your visit. He thinks it’s just as important that you don’t catch COVID-19! This is why he asks you to pay close attention to the instructions that will be given to you by the Elves who will greet you upon your arrival.

Elves will be there to meet you when you enter the parking lot. As soon as you get out of your car, you will have to spot the signs and start complying with them. At all times, circulate following the instructions to ensure that physical distance and sanitary measures are respected. Most of these are on this page, others are posted on the Village site, and some others will be communicated to you on site by the Elves.

People who do not respect the signs or instructions will be asked to leave the Village site.

During your stay

At all times, the Village must remain a safe environment. Persons living under the same roof (household) may remain close to each other. You must, however, maintain a distance of 2 metres at all times from Elves and other visitors who will be on site, in accordance with the Government of Quebec’s public health guidelines. Avoid all gatherings on the Village site.

Avoid all contact with other children and adults, including handshakes.

Use the disinfection stations regularly, as the Elves will remind you. It is still recommended that you carry hand sanitizer with you.

If your children have not yet mastered the concept of handwashing, they will have a great opportunity to practice… at least 42 times during the day!

To prevent the spread of germs, follow hygiene rules when you cough or sneeze (in your elbow, never in your hand). When using a tissue, dispose of it as soon as possible and then wash your hands.

The homemade face cover is therefore mandatory for parents who wish to participate with their children in the Magic Show since, on this occasion, distancing is more difficult to maintain. It is mandatory in all indoor or partially covered public places. Of course, the wearing of the face cover does not replace other Public Health Guidelines: distancing, hygiene rules, etc.

The snack-bar is open. According to public health, there is currently no evidence to suggest that food is a likely source or route of transmission of the virus and there are currently no reported cases of COVID-19 transmission through food (source). The snack-bar has been set up to help maintain a physical distance of two metres between customers.

The three sanitary blocks are constantly accessible. It is important to respect the appropriate distance before entering them. A 20-second hand wash is mandatory upon entry and before leaving. Based on the feedback the Elf in Chief has received, the Village is known for the cleanliness of its sanitary blocks. They will therefore be constantly cleaned and, in addition, they will be disinfected on a regular basis. You will be able to take additional measures if you wish, as each sanitary block will have disinfectants and hand sanitizing wipes available.

In order to follow the recommendations regarding physical distancing measures, we have reduced the number of participants in certain activities. As much as possible, we try to ensure that you can stay close to your children so that you can have fun with them and participate in their success, an aspect widely emphasized by the Village Elves. When the number of participants has to be taken into consideration, children are sometimes prioritized to the detriment of parents. This is sometimes the case for the Magic Show. The rules of social distancing between the children having been abolished, they can then gather close to the stage, while their parents remain at a sanitary distance, a little further behind… unless they take the opportunity to have a nice cold beer at the snack-bar!

You will notice that several Elves will be busy continuously cleaning and disinfecting the most frequently touched surfaces and those most likely to be contaminated throughout the Village site.

Be advised that, for your protection and that of the Elves, they will wear a procedural mask or face shield at all times and, for some activities, some of them will also be equipped with eye protection (goggles or face shields).

Here are some answers!

The page Fun lists the different activities that are available. You will find that the main ones are staying open. Some are available but have been adapted (ponies). Further instructions will be displayed when you arrive at the Village, or will be given to you on site by the Elves.

Given the excellent results of 2020, Public Health has again granted permission for the Village du Père Noël to reopen during the summer of 2021.  At this time, the conditions are the same as they were in 2020, but it is expected that they will lighten up by the time you come to visit. Remember to review them by returning to this page just before you leave. Further instructions will be displayed when you arrive at the Village, or will be given to you on site by the Elves. CURRENT PUBLIC HEALTH INSTRUCTIONS include ensuring that physical separation and sanitary measures are followed. They recommend that you wear a face cover / handcrafted mask to participate in certain activities, as well as to enter all enclosed or partially covered areas (snack bar, gift store, Santa Claus’ home, etc.).

This year there can be no packages, group prices or season passes because of the COVID-19 situation.

The reason is that we have to make sure that the number of people on the VIllage site at the same time does not exceed a certain limit. This additional control obliges us for the moment to ask you to make your transaction through a ticketing system.

Go to the « Ticket » page to book your tickets. We look forward to having fun with you and your little ones!

This year it is necessary to make reservations as we have to make sure that the number of people on the VIllage site at the same time does not exceed a certain limit.

You can reserve now to ensure a place, or on the day itself, as you prefer.

To proceed, simply go to the « Ticket » page. We look forward to having fun with you and your little ones!

Yes, we are!

Toddlers will be able to walk with the animals.

The homemade face cover or handcrafted mask (covering the nose and mouth) is mandatory for people aged 12 and over in all enclosed or partially covered public places, as well as when it does not seem assured to be able to maintain a distance of two meters.

Obviously, no one likes to wear a mask… but we have chosen to strictly adhere to public health guidelines.

But since we started our season, we’ve fortunately realized that everything is going really well in this regard. It’s even unanimous: we can both respect the health measures and have fun at the same time… safely!
